  
My name is Shane, I was born in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1975. I joined the British army in 1991 and spent most of my nine years outside of the UK in places you don't want to be when your in your early 20's. In 2000 I left the army and went travelling, eventually moving to The Netherlands.
Since 2001 I've lived and worked in The Netherlands as an aircraft maintenance mechanic. In recent years I've rediscovered my childhood passion of long distance cycling and walking. Cycling has now taking over my life and now I want it to take over yours!!
