Optimus nova+ multifuel burner

My stove:  an Optimus nova+ multifuel burner. It has worked well for me the last couple of years even at 3000m. It's robust and despite always using unleaded fuel it always starts and I have yet to clean it or do any maintenance after using it about 80 times. Downside? damn expensive, and the simmer mode doesn't work too well because of the bend in the hose which makes the hose always want to turn to "afterburner" mode.

Pans: I have the optimus terra pan set include insulating cover...they work fine too, the cover allows you to keep your pasta/rice warm while your frying up the other bits and bobs, pretty handy really. I usually eat out of the pan so I dont have a plate/bowl.

Spork(titanium): yup I have one fo those wierd spoon/fork combinations I think it works great, even with soup and especially well with ice-cream.

If you want simmering then the DragonFly from MSR is the way to go. Also not cheap and I *hate* the plastic pump, but I guess they wouldnt make it plastic if it broke easily ....

Hi Richard, I know a few people that swear by MSR stoves, and the plastic seaes to hold up to longer trips. I'll put the dragonfly on my list if my stove dies.
